Our Founder's Story

The Busula Agri Foundation was born from Fred Wandela's personal journey and deep commitment to creating sustainable change in vulnerable communities across Africa.

"Growing up in rural Kenya, I witnessed firsthand how agricultural knowledge could transform communities and create pathways out of poverty. Every child deserves access to nutritious food, quality education, and the opportunity to build a better future."
— Fred Wandela, Founder & CEO

After completing his agricultural studies and working with international development organizations, Fred returned to his home region in 2015 with a vision to create a foundation that would address the root causes of child vulnerability through sustainable agriculture and education.

What began as a small community garden project with 15 children has grown into a comprehensive organization serving over 1,200 children across 42 communities, demonstrating the power of sustainable solutions to create lasting change.
