Transforming lives through sustainable agriculture, education, and community empowerment since 2015.
Dedicated to creating sustainable solutions that empower vulnerable children and communities through agricultural innovation, education, and holistic support.
To transform the lives of vulnerable children in Africa by providing access to sustainable agricultural knowledge, quality education, and community support systems that foster self-reliance and long-term prosperity.
We envision a future where every child in Africa has access to nutritious food, quality education, and the opportunity to thrive in self-sustaining communities that preserve the environment for future generations.
The Busula Agri Foundation was born from Fred Wandela's personal journey and deep commitment to creating sustainable change in vulnerable communities across Africa.
"Growing up in rural Kenya, I witnessed firsthand how agricultural knowledge could transform communities and create pathways out of poverty. Every child deserves access to nutritious food, quality education, and the opportunity to build a better future."
After completing his agricultural studies and working with international development organizations, Fred returned to his home region in 2015 with a vision to create a foundation that would address the root causes of child vulnerability through sustainable agriculture and education.
What began as a small community garden project with 15 children has grown into a comprehensive organization serving over 1,200 children across 42 communities, demonstrating the power of sustainable solutions to create lasting change.

Director, Global Food Initiative
"The Busula Agri Foundation has been an exceptional partner in our efforts to promote food security. Their innovative approach to combining agricultural education with child development has created a model that delivers sustainable results."
Education Director, Nairobi County
"The foundation's school garden program has transformed how our students learn about agriculture and nutrition. We've seen improved attendance, better academic performance, and healthier eating habits among participating students."
Community Leader, Kakamega
"Before the Busula Agri Foundation came to our village, many families struggled to provide enough food for their children. Now, our community garden feeds hundreds, and many parents have started their own small farming businesses."
As we look ahead, the Busula Agri Foundation is committed to expanding our impact and reaching more vulnerable children across Africa. Our strategic plan for the next five years focuses on:
Establishing 10 new agricultural training centers to serve as hubs for innovation and knowledge sharing.
Partnering with 50 additional schools to integrate agricultural education into their curriculum.
Extending our programs to three additional countries in East Africa to support more vulnerable children.
Investing in research to develop climate-resilient agricultural methods suitable for changing environmental conditions.
Whether through donations, volunteering, or partnerships, your support helps us continue our mission of transforming lives through sustainable agriculture and education.
